  1. Hello! I am about to start pharmacy school in a couple of months so I thought I would treat myself to a Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM to use as a purse, but also as a tote to carry my laptop and books to class. I have my eye on the classic Monogram, but also the DE. They're both so gorgeous, but I want to make sure that it holds up over time and daily wear. I've heard that the DE is more durable, as it's treated, but I also heard that the straps crack. Is this still an issue?

I would love to hear your opinions and the pros and cons on both the Mono vs. DE!
  2. I think if you ask in the LV subforum, instead of the general handbags forum you'd get more specific answers. DE is really luck of the draw, on whether your handles would crack.
  3. Sorry, I'm new to this forum and didn't realize there was a thread just for Louis Vuitton. I'll definitely post it there. Thanks!

  4. Congratulations on getting into pharmacy school! You should definitely treat yourself to a new bag! The Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM is the perfect bag in this situation because it will hold your books, notebooks, laptop, etc. literally the name “nerverfull” is perfect haha
I have my Neverfull GM in monogram and I’ll tell you why I decided to go with that compared to the damier ebene. First of all I think the monogram is wearable all year around, the damier ebene is more like an autumn and winter bag at least in my opinion. Second thing is that I did hear just like you said above that if you get the damier ebene then there might be some cracking issues with the straps and I don’t think that your experience with Louis Vuitton would be good if you have to convince them that they need to take it to repair, etc.
it also depends on your style, do you wear more casual clothing or do you dress it up all the time? I think the monogram can be casual and dressy at the same time. If I were you I would buy the monogram! IMG_9429.jpg
