1998 : Bravo taps Italian designer Roberto Menichetti to launch the designer Burberry Prorsum line. Photographer Mario Testino is hired to retouch the brand's image, newly rebranded as Burberry (dropping the "s"). Cool Britannia models Stella Tennant and Kate Moss will embody Burberry's new spirit in Testino's black-and-white ad campaigns. The Diana tartan-pale blue with navy, black, and red stripes-introduced in memory of the late Princess of Wales. Alexis Bittar designs the brand's first ready-to-wear jewelry collection. Pandora Luxurye staffer Katherine Betts profiles Menichetti in the December story "Check Mate."
